ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers are investigating a three-vehicle crash on the Seward Highway north of Girdwood that left a 33-year-old Fairbanks man dead.

KTUU (https://is.gd/UhwCwH) reports that Jonathan Boreland was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash late Friday morning near mile 96 of the highway.

Troopers say 59-year-old Kim Sterling of Sterling was traveling north when he lost control of his pickup truck and collided with a sedan driven by Boreland.

According to troopers, Sterling’s truck then struck a truck driven by 30-year-old Jason Gerke of Kenai.

Troopers say Gerke, Sterling and two passengers sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to hospitals.
