HAZELTON, W.Va. (AP) - A new hardwood manufacturing company is constructing a manufacturing and headquarters facility in Hazelton.

The Preston County Economic Development Authority says Construction on Mountain Craft Wide Plank’s $1 million facility is set to start in November. Production is set to start in the spring.

The Charleston Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1pgaY4t) that Mountain Craft Wide Plank will produce wide-plank flooring out of hickory, cherry, maple, red oak and white oak.

Officials say the products will be sold to builders, architects and homeowners for new or remolding construction projects.

Mountain Craft Wide Plank purchased roughly 8 acres of land from the economic development authority. The price was not disclosed.
