COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in western Michigan say that a worker was killed when a tractor-trailer ran over him at the loading dock of a dairy plant.

The Grand Rapids Press (https://bit.ly/1s5jDlL ) says the accident happened about 9:40 p.m. Saturday at Continental Dairy in Coopersville.

Ottawa County sheriff’s Sgt. Christie Wendt identifies the victim as 54-year-old Michael Yell of Muskegon.

Wendt says that Yell was helping the driver of a Binkerd Trucking semi unload a trailer at the plant.

The sergeant says that Yell was standing behind the passenger side of the semi’s cab when the driver pulled forward and crushed him.
