The game could have big implications in the Pac-12 South, where four teams - including Arizona - have two losses in the final scramble for the division title. Whichever team comes out on top will face the winners of the Pac-12 North, third-ranked Oregon, in the Dec. 5 championship at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Utah is coming off a 20-17 double overtime victory at Stanford, while the Wildcats defeated Washington 27-26 for their second-straight win. Arizona handed the Ducks their only loss of the season back at the start of October.


Arizona’s offense, ranked fourth in the Pac-12 and averaging 292 yards and nearly 36 points per game, faces Utah’s stout defense, which leads the nation in total sacks with 47 and sacks per game with 4.70. The Utes are third in the league for total defense, allowing opponents 388.4 yards a game.


Arizona: Linebacker Scooby Wright is drawing a lot of attention for the big numbers he’s putting up om defense this season. He’s got 117 tackles, 21 of those for a loss, 12 sacks and five forced fumbles. His tackles for loss lead the nation.

Utah: Running back Devontae Booker has rushed for 1,113 yards on a Pac-12-best 218 carries. He is averaging 133.4 yards rushing in conference games, but he has been held to less than 70 yards in Utah’s last two games.


Utah DT Nate Orchard had 10 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, and forced a fumble in the victory over Stanford to earn Pac-12 defensive player of the week honors. … Arizona kicker Casey Skowron kicked a 47-yard field goal as time ran out to give Utah its 27-26 victory over the Huskies. He hit two field goals total, made three extra points and scored on a fake field goal during the game to earn Pac-12 special teams player of the week. … The Wildcats have 273 first downs, second in the nation. … Arizona has won the last two games in the series. … The Utes have lost just 11 turnovers this season.
