MIAMI (AP) - Dennis Mavin scored 19 points and two other Florida International players reached double figures Friday night in a 74-48 victory over Florida Memorial of the NAIA.

Ray Rodriguez had 13 points and six assists. Adrian Diaz scored 10 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and blocked three shots for FIU (3-0). Mavin was 8 of 14 from the floor and had three assists and three steals. The Panthers tallied 19 assists after dishing out 21 against Florida College Nov. 14 to open their season.

Samuel Dorismond scored 22 points on 7-of-16 shooting, and had five steals. Roody Romain had 10 boards, and Shaquille Harding chipped in 11 points for Florida Memorial, who shot 16 of 46 from the field for 35 percent.

FIU has a six-game winning streak against Florida Memorial, dating back to the 1988 season.
