PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting at a Portland apartment complex that left a 23-year-old man dead.

Officers called to the apartment complex on Brighton Avenue on Friday night for a report of shots fired found the body of Richard Lobor of Portland. Police say Lobor didn’t live at the apartment. They didn’t say why he was there or who lives there.

Assistant police Chief Vern Malloch says an autopsy determined that Lobor died of a gunshot wound. The death is being treated as a homicide.

Police continue to search for the suspect. They said they believe the shooter either ran away or fled in a vehicle.
