MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - A 28-year-old Des Moines man has been sentenced to up to five years in prison for a stabbing in Clear Lake in September.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1uOZZj1 ) that Jose Ramos was sentenced this week after pleading guilty in Cerro Gordo County District Court to a felony charge of willful injury causing bodily injury.

Police say Ramos stabbed someone in the leg with a knife on Sept. 18.

In addition to the prison sentence, Ramos also was fined $750 and sentenced to 15 days in jail on a charge of second-degree harassment.
