BUFFALO, Wyo. (AP) - State game wardens say they’re seeking information from the public about a mule deer buck that was illegally killed in eastern Johnson County.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department says the mule deer was killed Wednesday along Schoonover Road about a mile west of the Powder River.

Authorities say they’re seeking a white pickup truck with a chrome fifth-wheel tailgate and Campbell County license plates.

Mule deer hunting in the area closed Oct. 14. Game and Fish says anybody with information about what happened may call Buffalo Game Warden Jim Seeman at (307) 684-5223 or the state poaching hotline at (877)-943-3847.
