PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The Oahe Downstream Recreation Area near Pierre will be off limits this weekend for a good cause.

The area will be closed Saturday and Sunday so hunters whose mobility is by means of a wheelchair can take part in the annual Oahe Hunt.

The event is sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks. This the only time hunting is allowed within Oahe Downstream Recreation Area.

Entrance into the area is limited to one access road to ensure safety.
