CINCINNATI (AP) - Cincinnati police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a 5-year-old boy earlier this month.

Police said Friday that 23-year-old Terrill Short has been charged with reckless homicide and other counts in the Nov. 2 killing of 5-year-old Daniel Redmond Hamilton.

The Hamilton County coroner said a single gunshot wound to the face and related injuries caused the boy’s death. Police said at the time that it may have been accidental.

Other charges against Short included having a weapon under disability, and tampering with evidence.

Jail records did not list an attorney for Short.
