CHICAGO (AP) - Megan Podkowa scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead No. 18 De Paul over South Dakota State 84-62 on Saturday.

DePaul (3-1) shot 43.6 from the floor and was 8 of 24 from beyond the arc.

Podkowa scored the first eight points of the game, but back-to-back 3s by South Dakota State’s Megan Waytashek and a layup by Clarissa Ober tied it at 8. That’s the last time the Jackrabbits would be close, as an 8-point run propelled DePaul to a 10-point halftime advantage and DePaul pulled away from there.

Brittany Hrynko had 16 points and five assists for the Blue Demons. Jessica January and Megan Rogowski both had 11 points, while Brooke Schulte added nine points and seven boards.

Waytashek led South Dakota State (1-1) with 26 points and seven rebounds.
