COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Police say a 2-month-old baby was shot in the arm when a bullet went through the wall of a home.

Columbus police say the baby was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in stable condition Friday night after the shooting that occurred shortly before 11 p.m.

Police said in a statement that Beulah Roebuck was holding her baby in her arms when the shooting occurred. The child’s name was not released.

An official at the Columbus hospital had no additional information Saturday.

Police say they are continuing to investigate. But they did not know of any suspects or motive in the shooting.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that a neighbor said he heard at least four gunshots.
