RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - A Richmond teenager has been sentenced to 44 years in prison for the fatal shooting of a Virginia Union University student.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1BYdd1F) reports 19-year-old Willie Daquan Lee was sentenced Friday in Richmond Circuit Court in the Feb. 23 shooting of 20-year-old Kahron M. Lee of Woodbridge. They are not related.

Kahron Lee was returning to his apartment after leading a late-night study session when he was shot.

Willie Lee pleaded guilty in June to first-degree murder, robbery and two felony firearms counts.
