LAS VEGAS (AP) - Family members say former UNLV basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian remains in stable condition with pneumonia at a Las Vegas hospital.

Danny Tarkanian said Saturday that his 84-year-old father was “doing better” but it was uncertain when he could be released.

He says all tests conducted by doctors at Valley Hospital Medical Center have “come back negative” except for pneumonia.

The Naismith Hall of Fame coach was hospitalized for 10 days in April after a heart attack, his second.

Tarkanian led three schools to the NCAA tournament, including the 1990 UNLV team that won a national title.
