DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Police in suburban Atlanta say a former Atlanta Falcon was recently arrested on charges of DUI and improper slowing or stopping on the roadway.

Georgia Department of Public Safety officials say 42-year-old Jamal Sharif Anderson was found in a stopped car on the southbound side of I-85 Friday evening in Duluth, Georgia and was taken into custody.

Gwinnett County jail records showed Anderson was held on more than $2,000 bond and has been released. Anderson’s attorney wasn’t immediately available for comment.

In December 2012, Anderson pleaded guilty to reckless driving in DeKalb County and was sentenced to a year of probation, a $700 fine, community service and more.

Anderson played for the Falcons between 1994 and 2001 and is known for creating the team’s Dirty Bird touchdown celebration dance.
