JORDAN, Minn. (AP) - Police have arrested a man accused of hitting his hitting his girlfriend in the head with a gun in a church in the southwestern Twin Cities.

Authorities say the 32-year-old man attacked the woman about 9 p.m. Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church in Jordan, then fled apparently in a stolen vehicle.

The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/1y5isZf ) reports police announced the man’s arrest Sunday afternoon but provided no details.

Police say no shots were fired in the domestic incident. The woman was treated for her injuries at a hospital and released.
