OXFORD, Mich. (AP) - A man and a 7-month-old child have been found dead in an Oakland County home.

Sheriff Mike Bouchard says a third person, a woman, was taken to a hospital with injuries Sunday. He says a “sharp instrument” seized by investigators may have been used in the killings in Oxford, 45 miles north of Detroit.

Bouchard calls it a “very bizarre” incident. He says there’s no evidence that a stranger was involved but “how it happened” is “a work in progress” for investigators.

The sheriff says deputies went to the home after the child wasn’t returned to another home in a different county. No names have been released. The man was 29 years old.
