MILLERSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Anne Arundel County Police say a pedestrian was seriously injured in Millersville when he was hit by a car that left the scene.

It happened about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Obrecht Road. Police say two people were walking along the edge of the westbound lane when one of them was hit by a car. Officers say the car did not stop, but continued traveling west.

The pedestrian, 24-year-old Ryan Snyder of Millersville, was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where police say he is in critical but stable condition.

Authorities say a car believed to have been involved in the crash was found, and charges are pending a review by the state’s attorney.
