NICEVILLE, Fla (AP) - One Panhandle community is working to rebuild a very special playground.

The Northwest Florida Daily News (https://bit.ly/1talndT ) reports that the playground at a Niceville elementary school was washed away during torrential rains last year.

The playground served pre-kindergarten children with Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy and other special needs.

The community hopes to raise $100,000 to rebuild the playground. The playground is expensive because it requires special equipment with additional padding and restraints.
