LINCOLN, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in Talladega County are working to identify a body that was recently recovered in the Choccolocco Creek.

Lincoln police say a woman’s body was recovered Saturday afternoon. Investigators say they’re expecting the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to identify the woman and perform an autopsy.

Amanda Crow of the Lincoln Police Department told local media that the woman’s body was found in the Jackson Shoals area.
