NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - North Charleston police are investigating two shooting deaths that are thought to be unrelated.

Multiple media outlets reported the first shooting happened around 8 p.m. Sunday. Police spokesman Spencer Pryor says officers found a man in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Twenty-three-year-old Kevin Radley was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital where he died.

Pryor said investigators think Radley may have fired at the suspect. A man was seen running from Radley’s vehicle.

Another shooting victim was found shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday. Pryor said a man was found on a sidewalk at an apartment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Police say a man was seen running from the area.

No arrests have been reported.
