TAZEWELL, Va. (AP) - Two Tazewell County inmates accused of leaving a work detail are facing escape charges.

The Bluefield Daily Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1HCFrzr ) reports that a Tazewell County grand jury indicted 18-year-old Austin Harmon and 19-year-old Michael Hess, both of Richlands, last week.

Police say the inmates escaped from a regional jail work detail on Sept. 16. They were captured less than 30 minutes later inside a Walmart in Bluefield.

The grand jury also indicted each inmate on charges stemming from the April robbery of a pizza delivery man. Those charges include conspiracy, robbery of a residence, grand larceny and wearing a mask in public.
