ROSEDALE, N.Y. (AP) - A man is under arrest for allegedly stealing computers from a Long Island school for students with special needs.

Nassau County police say the suspect was caught after an employee at the Martin De Porres school in Elmont spotted him on a surveillance camera.

Newsday (https://nwsdy.li/1tpIuQR ) says Curtis Patterson, of Rosedale, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Police say he was confronted as he was leaving the school. The computers were found inside black plastic bags.

It wasn’t immediately clear if Patterson had a lawyer.
