MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot is set to host a cattle conference where ranchers can learn about marketing and management strategies.

KXMC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1kMo3z4 ) the North Dakota Grazing Lands Coalition is hosting its winter conference in Minot for the first time in January. It will feature a Mississippi rancher with more than 75 years of experience this cattle industry, as well as a local producer with oil country expertise.

Coordinator Joshua Dukart says the conference will help younger farmers and ranchers learn what changes to consider and what tactics to use for quicker progress with less risk. Attendees can also get tips on preparing for a falling cattle market and caring for their land.

Registration is open until Jan. 14.
