LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - World-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma is scheduled to speak at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December.

Ma will appear at the university’s Lied Center for Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5. His appearance is part of the E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues.

The lecture is titled “Cultural Citizens,” and will focus on the importance of culture to individuals and societies. Tickets for the event are $34 at the Lied Center’s website. A concert scheduled for Dec. 4 is already sold out.
