OOSTBURG, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have arrested an 18-year-old man who they say led deputies on a high-speed chase and crashed in a stolen vehicle.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically and without headlights on Interstate 43 on Sunday evening. Authorities say deputies found the vehicle near Oostburg and determined it had been reported stolen.

Deputies say the vehicle fled at speeds of up to 90 mph when they tried to stop it. The chase ended when the driver crashed while exiting the highway in Ozaukee County. They say he fled on foot and a K-9 unit and Ozaukee County Sheriff’s deputies helped arrest him.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries sustained in the crash.
