OSAKA, Japan (AP) - Gamba Osaka took control of the J-League title race on Saturday, beating Vissel Kobe 3-1 to move ahead of Urawa Reds with one game remaining.

Takashi Usami scored twice for Gamba which is seeking its first J-League championship since 2005 and next faces relegated Tokushima Vortis, the league’s worst team with 25 losses.

Four minutes into stoppage time, 10-man Sagan Tosu scored against Urawa for a 1-1 draw.

Both Urawa and Gamba have 62 points but the Reds trail on goal difference. Urawa next faces Nagoya Grampus.

Yuki Abe’s second-half penalty looked to have secured Urawa the points but Teruaki Kobayashi’s last-gasp header denied the visitors a win and perhaps the league title.

Seven-time champions Kashima Antlers remain in the race on 60 points after beating Cerezo Osaka 4-1 away.
