HIRAM, Maine (AP) - Authorities say a second teenager has died following a weekend car crash in Hiram.

Four male teens were in the car that crashed just before 2 a.m. Saturday near Sacopee Valley High School when the 17-year-old driver lost control and struck a utility pole.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office says an 18-year-old passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old occupant of the vehicle died at Maine Medical Center.

A 16-year-old boy remains hospitalized while the driver has been released after being treated at the hospital.

No names were made public.

No other vehicles were involved and police say the cause remains under investigation, but there is no indication that speed or alcohol was involved.
