DALLAS (AP) - Fire officials say a five-alarm apartment fire in west Dallas has displaced 54 people.

Firefighters say the blaze started Sunday afternoon at the Casa de Loma Apartments. They say the fire started in a second-floor apartment but investigators haven’t determined its exact origin. More than 100 firefighters worked to control the flames.

About 18 units were damaged but no injuries were reported.

A resident tells the Dallas Morning News that she was watching the Dallas Cowboys in their loss to the Arizona Cardinals when she saw the fire spread from her neighbor’s air-conditioning unit to the roof.

The American Red Cross is working to relocate the people who lost their homes.
