BOWNE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 56-year-old man has been rescued after being pinned under a flat-bed trailer for more than five hours in western Michigan.

The Kent County sheriff’s department says Albert Husiman of Clarksville went under the trailer to free locked brakes on Sunday afternoon in Bowne Township when it rolled onto him.

People nearby got him out after someone heard his calls for help. The department says he was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The department says Husiman failed to place his vehicle in park before getting under the trailer.
