O’FALLON, Mo. (AP) - Drivers in St. Charles County have a little something to celebrate: The opening of the final stretch of Route 364.

The Missouri Department of Transportation opened the stretch from Highway K to Mid Rivers Mall Drive Sunday night, though traffic is one lane only at Mid Rivers for now, and ramps at Mid Rivers Mall Drive won’t open until later this fall.

Route 64 now runs from Interstate 64 in Lake St. Louis, through St. Charles County and across the Missouri River into St. Louis County, to Interstate 270. The project has been 40 years in the making.
