GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Huntington Bank plans to move a regional headquarters to a recently renovated downtown Grand Rapids building.

The bank says in a statement Monday that the move to the Michigan Trust Building will contribute to ongoing redevelopment in the city.

The move is planned for the second half of 2015 and the bank will serve as the anchor tenant. The new offices make room for 20 regional employees of Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington Bancshares Inc. to be relocated. Plans also call for a branch to be opened.

The bank says it has made a long-term commitment to stay at the building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
