KILLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s Killington Resort is opening for the season - a little later than in past years.

Season pass and express card holders are welcome Monday as winter conditions rushed in over the weekend. The resort is opening to the public Tuesday.

Michael Joseph, a spokesman for the resort, tells The Rutland Herald (https://bit.ly/1tugsa1) that snow makers had been working at least 36 hours straight in order to get those trails open for skiers and riders.

The mountain got a couple of inches of natural snow several nights ago.
