MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) - A 38-year-old man police say shot a Mountain Home Air Force Base airman at a laundromat in southern Idaho has been taken into custody in eastern Oregon.

Police in Mountain Home, Idaho, say Lajuan C. Lee was arrested Saturday evening in Ontario, Oregon, where he was found hiding in a lumber yard.

Police say Lee is suspected of shooting in the chest an airman at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Mountain Home.

Police say the airman was taken by air ambulance to a Boise hospital. The airman’s name hasn’t been released.

Authorities say Lee is being held in the Malheur County Jail in Vale, Oregon, on a $500,000 warrant on suspicion of aggravated battery.
