LEBANON, Ohio (AP) - A coroner’s investigator says a man’s body has been recovered from a lake after the man drove his truck into the water.
The Warren County coroner’s chief investigator, Doyle Burke, says the body of 58-year-old Joseph Chaney, of Middletown, was pulled from the lake at Armco Park in Lebanon on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities said Chaney called his family in Middletown around 2 p.m. Sunday saying he was “going to end it.” Burke says a 911 caller reported a short time later that a man had driven his truck into the lake.
Burke says the vehicle was found submerged in the lake. Dive teams recovered Chaney’s body from the lake about 30 miles northeast of Cincinnati.
