MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota man says he will plead guilty to an illegal ammunition charge.

Jerome Fletcher, of Minot, is charged in federal court with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. Authorities say he had 11 rounds of 9mm ammunition in his possession in November 2013.

Fletcher has an extensive criminal record that includes convictions for robbery, assault and possession of methamphetamine.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison. Sentencing has not been scheduled.

A defense attorney was not available for comment.
