CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a case of suspected road rage that has left a 41-year-old Fernley man in critical condition.

Investigators say the apparent case of mutual road rage occurred about 1 p.m. Friday on U.S. Interstate 580 in Carson City.

The patrol says James Errington was driving a white Dodge pickup south on I-580 just south of U.S. 50 when he and 52-year-old Reese Cass of Carson City began exchanging angry gestures. Errington apparently swerved his truck at Cass’ burgundy Nissan pickup. He missed but lost control of his own truck, hit a concrete barrier wall and flipped over.

Errington was taken to a Reno hospital where he remained Monday in critical condition. No else was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call NHP at 775-687-0400.
