BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (AP) - Police have arrested the supervisor of a northwest Illinois girls soccer program who they say sent inappropriate text messages to players.

The (Joliet) Herald-News reports (https://bit.ly/1zrsVQH ) the 39-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after police used a search warrant to enter his residence. He faces charged of indecent solicitation of a minor, soliciting to meet a juvenile and grooming a minor for sexual purposes.

Lt. Mike Rompa says the man had been under investigation since police were notified on Sept. 22 that he had been texting underage girls in the soccer organization he helped supervise.

The Will County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Naperville Police High Technology Crimes Unit assisted Bolingbrook police in the investigation.
