OWASSO, Okla. (AP) - Owasso police have arrested a man who they say choked and punched his sister-in-law because his house was dirty.

The 39-year-old man remained jailed Monday on a complaint of domestic assault and battery by strangulation. Police say he started yelling at his family’s 13-year-old babysitter, who is the sister-in-law’s daughter. They say he was angry because the home was dirty upon his arrival.

Police say he turned his attention to the sister-in-law before punching, pinning and choking her.

The man admitted to police that he had been drinking and got angry. He said he didn’t choke her.
