MCKEESPORT, Pa. (AP) - Funeral services are planned for four children and two adults killed in an Oct. 18 house fire near Pittsburgh.

The Post-Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1ummDkf ) Ronald Egenlauf Sr., his daughter-in-law Hope Jordan Egenlauf, and her children, Dominic Jordan, Autumn Jordan, Serenity Jakub and Victoria Jordan are being laid to rest Monday.

The county medical examiner said the adults and children, who ranged in age from 2 to 7, died of acute smoke and fume inhalation and were likely unconscious before they were burned.

Hope Jordan and her husband, Ronald’s son Keith Egenlauf, initially escaped the fire but went back into the burning house to rescue the others. Keith Egenlauf escaped with burns over more than half of his body.

Relatives held a fundraiser Sunday to help pay for Keith Egenlauf’s medical costs.
