EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A Washington State Patrol trooper suffered a minor injury when her patrol car was rear-ended as she slowed on Interstate 5 at Everett Sunday night to check on a pedestrian.

Trooper Mark Francis tells KOMO (https://bit.ly/1umenRd) the trooper was checked at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett for a sore back. The driver of the other car, a 50-year-old Everett man, also was checked at the hospital.
