BOUND BROOK, N.J. (AP) - Bound Brook school officials plan to go to court to challenge the penalty imposed against a high school math teacher who used a school laptop to send nude photos of himself.

The district sought to fire Glenn Ciripompa. But an arbitrator ordered the teacher suspended without pay for 120 days.

School Superintendent Daniel Gallagher tells the Courier News of Bridgewater (https://mycj.co/1Ef6z4S ) the district is disappointed the arbitrator determined that removal was too severe a punishment.

The arbitrator found the teacher had no prior disciplinary trouble and understood his lapse in judgment.

The district said it had found more than 100 emails with pictures of nude women on the teacher’s computer.
