LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming forward Kayla Woodward received some votes for The Associated Press preseason women’s All-America team announced Tuesday.

Earlier this fall, the 5-foot-11 Woodward was named the Mountain West preseason player of the year for the second year in a row and to the preseason All-Mountain West Team.

She also was selected to the 2014 WBCA Division I Coaches’ Honorable Mention All-America Team and the WBCA All-Region VII team.

A first team All-Mountain West honoree a year ago, Woodward averaged a team high 16.7 points along with 7.1 rebounds during her junior campaign.

The Cowgirls open their season Nov. 17 at home against Western State.
