BROOMFIELD, Colo. (AP) - Police have arrested a second man in connection with a hazardous materials scare that led to the evacuation of a Broomfield office building.

The Broomfield Enterprise reports (https://bit.ly/1y4yVe7 ) 30-year-old Wade Daniel Stonier was arrested Wednesday and faces charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree tampering and theft.

Police say an employee found a white, powdery substance on a desk Oct. 30, prompting the evacuation. More than 100 people had to leave work for several hours.

Two employees who came in contact with the powder were decontaminated as a precaution, but later tests determined the substance was a common sugar substitute.

Police also have arrested 42-year-old John Anthony Martinez, of Longmont, on the same charges. Investigators have not released the circumstances of the alleged crime.
