MIAMI (AP) - An Arkansas man is accused of beating a man to death and leaving him on a Miami sidewalk.

Police said Tuesday they’ve arrested 22-year-old Tyler Alexander on a first-degree murder charge.

According to a police report, a man in his mid-to-late 40s was left bleeding on the sidewalk early on Halloween morning. A witness told authorities he had seen the victim walk with a man named Tyler to a business around midnight. Police looked at video surveillance and saw two men smoking for several hours. Later, the video shows the victim lying on the sidewalk as the other person “walks away carrying several items.”

The Miami Herald (https://hrld.us/1uvo3s2 ) reports police tracked down Alexander at his apartment.

Police haven’t identified the victim.

It’s not known whether Alexander has an attorney.
