AUSTELL, Ga. (AP) - Police are searching for a suspect accused of opening fire on a clerk during the robbery of a Dollar General store just west of Atlanta.

Cobb County police say the clerk was grazed by the bullet in the Monday evening crime on Six Flags Drive in Austell.

After the gunshot, the suspect ordered the clerk to open the store safe. Police say the gunman then fired another shot near the safe when the employee had trouble opening it. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The clerk was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and treated for what police describe as minor injuries.
