YORK, Maine (AP) - Maine State Police have identified a construction worker who was killed when he was run over by a dump truck on the Maine Turnpike in the town of York.

Troopers say the dump truck backed over 50-year-old James Woodward of Westbroook at a construction site on the York River Bridge late Tuesday morning.

The lane where the accident took place was already closed to traffic.

Police said Wednesday both Woodward and the truck driver, 53-year-old Garry Johnson of Hollis, worked for Shaw Brothers, which is doing work on the bridge.
