DALLAS (AP) - The anonymous bidder for naming rights to the Dallas Zoo’s baby giraffe has turned the choice over to the public.

An online poll on dallaszoo.com offers three choices: Kopano, which means “united” in the Tswana language; Usawa, which is Swahili for “equality”; or Shingo, which is Swahiili for “neck.”

The poll runs until Sunday at 5 p.m., with the winner announced Monday.

The giraffe’s birth was announced Wednesday. It already measures 6 feet tall and weighs 120 pounds.
