ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta airport officials say firefighters will extinguish a simulated plane fire as part of a training exercise.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport officials say the live burn training is scheduled to run from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials say the training exercise could cause plumes of dark smoke that may be seen from high-rise buildings and interstates near the airport.

Officials say the training exercise is part of the certification process for airport rescue firefighters.
