COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) - The FBI says a bank robber dubbed the Gift Bag Bandit suspected in a string of armed holdups across Orange County since 2011 has struck again.

The Orange County Register reports (https://bit.ly/1Eimq2z ) the suspect robbed a U.S. Bank branch in Costa Mesa just before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The FBI says the suspect approached the teller and pointed a handgun while demanding money. Surveillance photos show the man wearing sunglasses, a gray coat and a white Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap.

There were no customers in the bank. It’s not immediately known how much money he got away with.

The suspect got his nickname because during robberies in 2011 he carried a large gift bag to carry cash.

He is described as a slender Asian male in his 20s, about five feet eight inches tall, and weighing 150 pounds.
